⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Emma becomes a police officer is the beginning of the story. She has a baby daddy/partner named Matthew and quickly Emma realizes that mother hood and her career would be in competition. Emma is placed on the drug force and immediately is disappointed as her colleagues are not the upstanding police officer she had hoped to be working beside.

“Is this border line corruption?’ she wondered.”

She pairs up with a particular officer on the drug force Ryan, this leads to an affair and ongoing illegal activity led by Ryan and followed by Emma. As the drama unfolds the two continues an on and off affair throughout the story at one point Ryan Emma and Mathew are all living under the same roof.

“Time and again that night he took her until for the last time in the early hours of the morning she moaned sensationally as she felt another orgasm erupting, screaming aloud “Don’t stop Ryan”.”

How much will Emma and Ryan risk to keep the affair going? With much at stake to mention a few on Emma’s part, the love of a sister, the family life for her child, as well as a marriage. Now with a devastating truth staring back at her, what will Emma do now?

I did enjoy this book at first I was not sure because it was breaking my heart to watch the affair unfold, it’s hard not to feel sorry for Ryan at home. To add to the misery the constant manipulation and disappointment that Emma must’ve felt when her shiny new career wasn’t as shiny as she initially thought it would be. Now with the glorious mess Emma and Ryan have created I cannot wait for follow up from @l.a.powerauthor

I gave the book 4 stars as I wished that the beginning it had more detail as becoming a police officer on the drug force is a big accomplishment and we didn’t really get to see the struggles that Emma went through to get there. It would have been nice to have a little of the internal dialogue for Emma, I was wondering quite a few times what was going through in her spicy little head. Overall the book offer many pleasure and explicit spicy scenes, as well as plot twists and plenty of action.
